I offer a limited number of sliding-scale slots based on financial need. Feel free to reach out to discuss availability.
The first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other. We will discuss your concerns, goals for therapy, and any questions you may have about the process.
Frequency depends on your needs and goals. Some clients attend weekly, while others may come biweekly or monthly.
The length of therapy varies for each person. Some clients find short-term therapy helpful, while others engage in ongoing support. We will tailor the process to fit your needs.
Yes, confidentiality is a cornerstone of therapy. However, there are legal exceptions, such as cases involving harm to yourself or others, child abuse, or court orders.
Here are a few therapy modalities I may incorporate in my practice:
EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is a gentle yet effective modality to assist with resolving trauma. It involves using handheld very gentle "buzzies" to help process traumatic memories and provide clients with a clearer understanding of their trauma. We will decide together if you feel EMDR would be helpful to you.
Narrative Therapy is a collaborative approach that helps clients reshape their personal stories by separating themselves from their problems. This therapy focuses on identifying strengths, values, and alternative perspectives to foster personal empowerment and healing.
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a structured, evidence-based approach that focuses on identifying and changing negative thought patterns and behaviors. CBT helps clients develop healthier coping strategies to manage stress, anxiety, depression, and other mental health concerns.
Expressive Arts offer alternative ways to express thoughts and feelings. I enjoy incorporating drawing into sessions for clients who are interested. There’s no pressure—personally, I enjoy doodling! Some clients never touch a pencil or marker, and that is completely fine too.
If you're ready to take the next step in your professional journey, I’d love to support you. Contact me to discuss your supervision needs, rates, and availability.
